Security breaches are now seen by many organisations as inevitable and where the impact has to be prepared for and managed. Others strive for an immaculate record.
Both attitudes involve significant investment which can be greatly reduced if your own staff are the first line of defense by default rather than by exception.
How can this be achieved? What steps must organisations take to prevent their staff from unwittingly (or deliberately) causing a security breach? Their origins can be traced to three distinct areas of a business:
