Indonesia's Bank Mandiri needed a super app to support their rapid growth that was outpacing IT investments. Manual and redundant process were bogging down services and customers were expecting more agility and flexibility with service offerings.
The bank adopted a microservices architecture on a container platform using Red Hat OpenShift, which enabled them to achieve:
- 4 million downloads in less than 3 months
- Ability to meet high number of transactions from customers, meeting increasingly digital lifestyle of customers
- Ability to introduce new features in the app, thanks to microservices-based architecture and use of container platform
