The U.S. Department of Energy Savannah River Operations Office (DOE-SR) is an industrial complex responsible for the environmental management of nuclear weapons material disposal.
A key piece of the facility's security is the visitor tracking system, housed on a mainframe running Natural application code and an Adabas database. Advanced was able to move Natural applications to a Windows environment, migrate the Adabas database to a relational model, and implement results on DOE-SR hardware, enabling the business to perform acceptance testing within 5 months.
