There’s much work to do to for health equity, specifically for making medical devices and facilities accessible to patients of underserved populations. To reach the patients, large medtech and medical device companies face stiff challenges maintaining a favorable rate of return for investors, while small-to-medium-sized companies are struggling simply to get market traction to reach the right physicians. These challenges put tremendous pressure on sales and marketing teams. If we make devices and medical technology affordable and easily accessible and are able to reach the right physicians, those effects can have a downstream impact on patients and ensure more equitable access to needed medical devices and technology for vulnerable populations.
