Whether you’re working on an email, social media post, an ebook, case study, or infographic, good copy makes for informative and valuable content. Anyone writing copy should strive to ensure it’s:
- Sharp and clear
- Easy to understand and digest
- Provides a tip, piece of information, lesson, or something of value to the reader
What is good copy, though? What separates good writing from bad or mediocre? Generally speaking, writing doesn’t have many hard-fast rules. Often, you can experiment or justify going against a convention that does exist. Still, several rules of thumb do apply to any piece of writing and content marketing.
