The CPUs That Power High-Performance Research Computing

Cover

The Center of Research Computing (CRC) at the University of Notre Dame supports a diverse range of research infrastructure, including cancer, global, health, environmental, and other research areas. Between this massive range of applications, the CRC manages over 30,000 compute nodes, comprising between 3 and 4 petabytes of data.

Click to find out more about the server hardware that the CRC turned to in order to support their unique, high-performance computing within a high density environment – ultimately getting the latency reduction they were hoping for while shaving off costs in the process.
