He also focuses on compliance, security and risk management issues related to the implementation of effective disaster recovery. Prior to his career in research, Mr. Morency spent 14 years in technical, marketing and IT industry consulting, managing a wide range of services that included total cost of ownership, network complexity and infrastructure consolidation analyses.

Michael de la Torre Vice president of Product Management, SunGardAS

Michael de la Torre is the vice president of product management, Recovery Services, at SunGardAS.  Michael manages SunGard’s offerings for IT and Workforce Continuity. Prior to joining SunGard, Michael worked as the Global Product Director at Cooper Power Systems where he helped define and execute Cooper’s emerging smart grid strategy and ran the Voltage Regulator business.  Prior to Cooper, Michael worked in private equity for GFI Energy Ventures and as a consultant for McKinsey & Company.
