Steve Gaines Head of Middleware, Red Hat, UK

Steve Gaines is tasked with managing the company's JBoss business in the UK.  This includes driving adoption in new verticals, with a particular focus on financial services. Steve has over 25 years experience working in the IT software industry.  Prior to joining Red Hat, he held the positions of Technical Director at both Silverstream Software and Novell.  He has a degree in Computer Science from the University of Liverpool. He enjoys playing the saxophone, astronomy and Android development.

Frederik Bijlsma EMEA Cloud Business Unit Manager, Red Hat

Prior to his current role, Frederik has worked in Red Hat's Presales Organisation for Linux and Systems Management Areas and in Sales for JBoss Middleware. After having worked with Open Source & Linux since 1994, in late 1999 Frederik joined Delix, the company producing the German Linux Distribution DLD, later acquired by Red Hat to found its German business. He has earned a Master Degree in Business Administration specialising in Finance and information systems from Goethe University Frankfurt.

Thomas Trainer Product marketing manager, Red Hat Storage

Prior to Red Hat, Tom was an independent storage analyst. He has also held positions such as managing senior partner at the IT analyst firm Evaluator Group, and director of marketing at Gluster, EMC, HDS, and NAS pioneer Auspex during his career in IT.
