In this webinar, Jim Powers from IBM and David Korsunsky from VMware will introduce the results of the latest testing done to validate performance and functionality for running IBM Lotus Domino™ 8.5.1 running on virtual machines using VMware vSphere™ 4.0.  In addition to performance test results, the webinar will also introduce some of the benefits customers can expect from virtualizing Domino on VMware such as cost reduction through consolidation, simplified high availability and disaster recovery as well as additional flexibility through virtual machine technology.  The webinar will then go into a case study of a customer who has already successfully implemented this and will provide links where more information on this topic can be obtained.


Jim Powers Performance Engineer, IBM

Jim Powers is an experienced Performance Engineer with over 10 years of experience with IBM working on the Lotus Notes and Domino products.  In his career at IBM Jim has spoken on performance topics at numerous event including IBM Lotusphere and The View Admin conferences.  He has also authored numerous articles dealing with Lotus Domino performance, tuning and testing on various platforms.

David Korsunsky Sr. Manager, ISV Alliances - Technical Enablement, VMware

David Korsunsky manages a team of engineers across the US and EMEA responsible for the technical strategy and execution within VMware’s ecosystem of Application ISV, middleware, database and virtual desktop partners.  Prior to joining VMware he spent 8 years working as a technical consultant for systems integrators in Canada, Bermuda and the US. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics and a Masters of Business Administration as well as technical certifications from EMC, HP, Microsoft and VMware.
