Intel IT's security team continually analyzes our computing model to determine how it needs to evolve in response to an ever-changing threat landscape. Recent cyber-attacks on a number of high-profile targets provided added impetus to re-evaluate the security offered by thin-client models and whether using thin clients could help defend against similar attacks. We also analyzed whether similar controls could be applied to PCs, without giving up the functionality that is sacrificed with the thin-client model.
