Can Your Data Center Infrastructure Handle the Heat of High Density

Cover Image
Migrating from a traditional data center to a high density data center requires an understanding of newer protocols, hardware and architectures. We all know that high density data centers consumer far more power than traditional centers. In addition to consuming greater power, high density environments also generate more heat. This places greater emphasis on air flow and temperature controls. High density data centers typically use a computational fluid dynamics, or CFD, simulation to engage the entire layout of the data center and run through all the "what if" scenarios to identify hot spots and potential problem areas.
