Using Veritas Provisioning Manager in Multiple Site Environments: Issues, Evaluation, Recommendations
The Veritas Provisioning Managers from Symantec automates server provisioning by discovering servers, installing operating systems, deploying and configuring applications and modifying network settings on multiple servers simultaneously. This paper will outline architectural advice and recommendations for implementing Provisioning Manager server build capabilities in an environment with multiple sites. In implementing any Provisioning Manager solution, there are a set of criteria that must be considered in designing the implementation: networking architecture and operation. Access this paper to get answers to the following questions:
- How can server management and OS and application provisioning to multiple sites or data centers be implemented?
- What architecture and design is required?
- What are the tradeoffs, issues and risks of supporting multiple sites with Provisioning Manager?
