Case Study - Square Enix

Cover Image

The Square Enix Group constructed an international business promotion structure with major development locations established in Japan, North America, and Europe. Since these locations perform localization to meet the needs of each market, development data (ROM) is transferred on a daily basis. By 2008, however, half a day was required for these transfers due to increases in data volume.

In order to streamline its international data transfers, Square Enix adopted Steelhead appliances and transfer times were reduced by more than 90%. Square Enix is now implementing Steelhead appliances in Japan as the second phase of its WAN environment reform.
