Presentation Transcript: American Geek with Brian Madden and Gabe Knuth
sponsored by Citrix

Most IT pros are geeks at heart. And, for most of us, our love for technology began with tinkering around with computers and electronics. Last month Brian Madden and Gabe Knuth got back to their roots by attending Maker Faire NYC—an IT "conference" dedicated to people who want to show off the cool geeky things they built.

In this presentation , Brian and Gabe discuss and share their interviews and some of the most interesting finds from the Maker Faire, including people building 3D printers, underwater robots, pinball machines, a life-sized Mousetrap game and another team of folks who hacked a Texas Instruments graphing calculator to add networking support and a web browser.

You’ll also find interviews with members of the Retro Computing Club and hear an explanation of the difference between Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and the Beaglebone.

So join Brian and Gabe as they explore the amazing universe of Maker Faire!

This is a written transcript of the presentation.
