Chip Childers VP of Product Strategy, CumuLogic

Chip Childers is the Vice President of Product Strategy at CumuLogic.

He is a member of The Apache Software Foundation (ASF), and iscurrently serving as the Vice President of Apache CloudStack for the ASF. 

Previously, Chip was Principal Engineer in the cloud engineering organization at SunGard Availability Services, where he was the chief architect of SunGard's cloud service offerings. He also represented SunGard on the board of the Distributed Management Task Force (DMTF), the standards development organization responsible for specifications such as OVF and CIMI. Previous roles at SunGard included management and technical leadership positions within the office of the CTO and the global operations organization.  Prior to SunGard, Chip served as a technical architect for Qwest Solutions, the professional services arm of Qwest Communications International. 

Chip has several patents pending in the areas of infrastructure automation and orchestration system design. He is frequently quoted by industry press, and speaks publicly on infrastructure and cloud topics.
