A Practical Approach to Building a Comprehensive and Compliant RIM Program
We live in an era of data and data management. As such, it is becoming increasingly prevalent to follow strict practices in records and information management (RIM). To not comply to proper RIM can cause quite an issue in legalities and as a result, can destroy a company and its reputation.
A program must contain a proactive approach for management of all of the seven Best Practice areas – Accountability, Retention, Policy and Procedure, Imaging, Access and Indexing, Disposal and Compliance. These areas need to be managed consistently and effectively.
