Recordkeeping Needs Assessment Case Study: Using the Cloud to Improve Dismal Scores

In 2011, the department of a company whose records and information were distributed across shared drives, hard copy files, public email accounts, thumb drives, and iPads (to name a few) had arguably its first ever needs assessment (N.A.). This session explores the methodology used to conduct this early Generally Accepted Recordkeeping Principles® N.A., followed by a discussion of how the N.A. led to the selection of a Cloud provider to improve the organization’s dismal scores. Learning objectives include:

•           Prioritize usage of components of the Generally Accepted Recordkeeping Principles®, based on lessons learned from usage on this case study

•           Analyze sample questions used to conduct the Generally Accepted Recordkeeping Principles® Needs Assessment with sample results

•           Explore real world compromises taken on a shoe-string budget to improve scores
