ABSTRACT:
In today’s constantly-connected world, one of the most important parts of your customer’s experience is their interaction with your website.
For Yamaha Motor Europe, their website connects their 1,500 European dealers with the Yamaha distributors in 12 countries and is designed so that dealers can quickly order spare parts for one of Yamaha’s dozens of motorized products as well as register warranties and process warranty claims.
Though the customer is not dealing directly with this particular site, their experience with these dealers is very much connected to it. Yamaha Motor Europe had a challenge to solve database access performance problems emerging after redesigning the application and discontinuation of IBM WebSphere.
Access this case study to discover how they were able to replace default Microsoft SQL Server drivers with another tool and gain 10x improvement in page load time and a 20x improvement in database access performance.
