With a smaller proportion of IT services delivered internally, the skill set required for today’s CIO must change to more of a service broker, bringing IT service efficiently to wherever needed through a hybrid portfolio of IT services. Creating an integrated, transparent IT service supply chain requires an organization to be able to assess its strategic goals and portfolio of services carefully—and be able to rapidly institute change when it is required.
