ABSTRACT:
Due to a European directive aiming to reduce the carbon footprint, the UK government is mandating the rollout of Smart Meters to over 90% of homes by the year 2020.
These Smart Meters are going to generate enormous amounts of information- managing all the data and making sense of it is going to be a huge challenge for the energy companies.
