Data movement can take up much of your time during the analytics process. Many times, 90% of your data may be in the data warehouse, with 10% in external sources. You need to move or integrate this external data into the warehouse, but this data may be considered “dirty data”- untested and unproven.

One solution is to build sandboxes into the database. This can add great value as users can load any data into that area without impacting production users. The lifecycle of these sandboxes can be affected, however, as data starts to add up and no one is cleaning them out.
