Advanced global name recognition technology
sponsored by IBM

Two studies conducted on automated advanced name recognition found that the technology failed to identify 25-60% of target names in a database.  This poses significant issues when you consider mission-critical government uses for automated name recognition such as terrorist watch-lists, immigration tracking, visa applications and fraud detection. Recently, however, there have been advances in name recognition technology.

Take a few minutes to read about the advances in name matching performance. You’ll discover a new approach to automated name recognition that leverages the latest advances in computational linguistics, driving the technology to enhanced methods, including:

  • Identifying culture origin to optimize name matching
  • Reduction of noise that could interfere with matching
  • Syntactic flexibility

And much more.
