The IBM big data platform

Every day we create 2.5 quintillion bytes of data—in fact, 90% of the data in the world today was created in the past two years alone. In general, big data spans three dimensions: volume, velocity and variety.  To address the full spectrum of big data challenges, companies should consider implementing a big data platform that encompasses the following four capabilities:

  • Hadoop
  • Stream computing
  • Data warehousing
  • Information integration and governance.
