ABSTRACT:
Due to reliance on other teams, unavailability of infrastructure resources, unpredictability of build readiness, or error-prone deployment of the test environment, scheduling, provisioning, and deploying test labs can create latencies in the application lifecycle that impede the goal of continuous delivery− the idea that every code change that passes functional, performance, and security testing could, conceivably, be immediately deployed.
Lab management automation can create the efficiency needed to overcome this latency, learn how lab management automation enables development and testing organizations to:
- Set up and tear down labs on demand
- Eliminate user errors in lab configuration, making testing efforts more relevant and accurate
- Provision test labs in a hybrid delivery environment− physical or virtual, in a traditional data center, or in the cloud
- And bring development, test, and operations teams closer by using the same model across the application lifecycle.
