ABSTRACT:
IP addresses are being nearly depleted due to the immense popularity of the internet and the need to have a unique IP address to identify each device using it. Running out of internet addresses would have disastrous effects.
Read this whitepaper to discover more information about IPv6, a large type of address that would avoid the disaster of running out of IP addresses. However, IPv6 has issues, including that it is not compatible with the current address type. Since it is nearly impossible and economically undesirable to replace all networking equipment with IPv6, solutions need to be made to allow IPv6 to coexist with all IP address types, IPv4, and for electronic information using one address type to be delivered to devices using the other address type.
