ABSTRACT:

One in 10 IT professionals lost their jobs at the height of the recession – more than the proportion that lost their jobs in the City of London. Six months ago, IT staff had put their careers on hold. They were not worrying about pay rises and were more concerned about holding on to their jobs, said Ellis. But over the past three months organisations have taken IT projects off the back-burner, creating new opportunities for IT professionals to find more lucrative work elsewhere.
