The Embarcadero Developer Survey was conducted throughout the months June and July 2010 and encompasses responses from a wide array of application developers worldwide. The purpose of the survey was to collect information about the top developer trends, challenges, key initiatives, and current tools being used.

A total of 599 responses were received during the web-based survey which was open June and July 2010. Not all questions were required to answer for completing the survey and many questions allowed for multiple answers. The survey respondents were primarily application developers with the size of the respondents companies primarily from organization with less that 25 people.
