ABSTRACT:
In May, 2010, Verizon Wireless told investors at Barclays Capital media and technology conference in New York that it expected to offer customers who signed up for its 4G services monthly “buckets” of data. US network carriers including Verizon see tiered data plans as better revenue plans than unlimited plans. Furthermore, Lowell McAdam, Verizon’s Chief Executive, told investors that the cost of carrying IMB over an LTE network would half to one-third the cost of carrying the data over its current 3G network.
