ABSTRACT:
IT managers have to be prepared for the technology challenges and potential risks presented by employing the so-called Generation Y. Unlike the baby boomers born after the Second World War and the “Generation X” that followed, the people of Generation Y are “digital natives”, born in the mobile phone era, entirely comfortable with technology and with a very different attitude to their careers. They don’t see work as a way of life; they see it as a tool to allow them to live the life they want.
