ABSTRACT:
ISVs developing applications must determine how to most cost-effectively and efficiently connect their applications to the underlying database. Although database vendors such as Microsoft, Oracle, IBM, and others provide ISVs with their own proprietary drivers to connect the ISV’s application to the underlying database, using a vendor’s proprietary driver can pose significant challenges for ISVs.
