ABSTRACT:
Increasingly, disk systems are being placed in the data protection path in many enterprise customer environments. With exponential growth of data volume, enterprises require faster backup, restore, and disaster recovery to meet their shrinking backup windows, and the use of disk in the data protection process relieves many of the backup bottlenecks associated with using traditional storage methodologies such as tape. As a result, many customers are augmenting existing or forgoing further investments in physical tape infrastructure in favor of deduplication storage systems. Read on to learn more about the advantages of data deduplication today!
