ABSTRACT:
At a high level, organizations understand that new technologies will help them transform their data centers and they are starting to make the investments; however, many are not able to reproduce the projected ROIs. Transformation is difficult and requires maintenance of current services and the design and implementation of new ones. As a result, many organizations aren’t well versed in new technology, new processes, and new skills required and a project can lose momentum and be declared completed long before reaching its full potential. This occurs for a host of reasons; this paper will explore some of the more common pitfalls that hamper successful transformations and the keys to overcome them.
