ABSTRACT:
The introduction of 4G networks will create new opportunities for wireless operators and service providers, but will also present a range of fresh challenges. It gives service providers the chance to develop compelling new, differentiated wireless services, and potentially develop new sources of revenue. However, introduction of next-generation wireless networks also leads to new architectural challenges as well.
This paper explores in-depth the opportunities and challenges presented by the introduction of services on 4G networks, and examines the ways in which a strategic BI implementation can help to transform the services a company provides, and to manage costs of providing them. It considers the variety of practical applications of a BI system, and shows why an over-arching system is increasingly likely to be a "must have" for next-generation wireless network operators.
