ABSTRACT:

SherWeb has evolved into a large-scale software-as-a-service (SaaS) enterprise that today serves more than 15,000 organizations across nearly 100 countries. The company’s Microsoft Exchange Server offering is central to that business. Geared especially for small and medium-sized businesses, SherWeb’s Exchange hosting services enable companies to capitalize on a robust, reliable, and secure messaging infrastructure without major IT investments.

To support its new Microsoft® Exchange Server 2010 offering, SherWeb needed a robust and scalable environment that could accommodate a growing customer base and larger mailbox sizes without excessive costs. SherWeb worked with Dell IT Consulting Services to design and implement a new infrastructure that runs Microsoft Exchange 2010 in a virtualized environment using Dell™ PowerEdge™ servers and Dell/EMC storage.
