We're talking about 802.11n, of course. It’s not only the newest, most advanced version of the 802.11 wireless standard; it’s rapidly becoming the wireless technology of choice for networking professionals in all-sized organizations.

In the last few short years sales of 802.11n wireless networking gear have skyrocketed, and have effectively displaced the legacy 802.11a/b/g versions in many organizations. Shipments of 802.11n access points jumped 44 percent from 2008 to 2009 according to market researcher In- Stat.
