ABSTRACT:
In October 2009, Panduit Corporation (Panduit) commissioned Forrester Consulting to examine the total economic impact and potential return on investment (ROI) that enterprise customers may realize by deploying its Unified Physical Infrastructure (UPI) solution. UPI is an architecture that integrates hardware and software products with design principles to create an integrated infrastructure for power and communications across corporate data centers and other IT infrastructure. This study illustrates the financial impact of moving from disparate and aging wiring systems to an integrated, building-wide IT connectivity infrastructure.
In conducting in-depth interviews with existing UPI customer MMM Group, Forrester found that this organization achieved significant benefits — some easily measured for this ROI study and others that may be equally valuable but could not be quantified.
