ABSTRACT:

While at first glance, virtualization seems like a great cost reduction mechanism, many IT managers do not realize initial cost savings. In fact, cost is frequently brought up as a major deterrent to desktop virtualization. And companies who are trying to justify the investment to senior management, are still struggling to estimate the ROI and potential costs of desktop virtualization. This presentation transcript will outline how you can build a business case for desktop virtualization, while focusing on increased security, manageability and flexibility for the end user. The speaker will review the specific areas of cost savings including reducing or re-allocating IT staff, extending endpoint refresh cycles, and improving employee efficiency and productivity and potential reduced support costs down the line.
