ABSTRACT:
Server virtualization is one of the hottest technologies to ever hit the IT field. Almost every organization out there has either implemented some form of server virtualization or is looking to do so in the near future. Server virtualization improves resource utilization and reduces server sprawl by enabling multiple virtual machines to run on a single physical server. And each virtual machine can have its own operating system and applications.
With the release of Windows Server 2008, Microsoft introduced its server virtualization software: Hyper-V. Because Hyper-V is integrated into Windows 2008, configuring the software and installing host operating systems for the virtual machines are all done with easy-to-use wizards.
