The practice of Batch tuning has been around for many years but many organizations still face common problems such as batch contention, batch window constraints, over allocated resources and not exploiting existing technology investments, among others.

The traditional methods of dealing with batch performance issues are not often adequate in today’s environment. Tools are complicated to use and home-grown solutions are difficult to maintain.
