This paper examines the adoption of quality management automation from its inception to current use and follow on with an exploration of the future potential for quality management automation. It also outlines a path towards quality management automation based on the collective experiences of IBM employees, consultants, and clients. The goal of this analysis is to provide an overview of quality management automation tools, processes, and best practices to help quality assurance teams address the challenge of modern software and systems quality management.
