Orange Switzerland has been providing advanced mobile communication services in Switzerland since mid-1999 and also operates the only GSM 1800 network in Switzerland. In 2008 Orange Switzerland became the first major carrier to outsource the operation and maintenance of its multivendor network to Alcatel-Lucent. This resulted in a rapid business transformation and the seamless migration of 146 network professionals to Alcatel-Lucent.

 

In addition to realizing higher operational efficiency of its network and immediate operational savings, Orange Switzerland has been able to concentrate on competitive new customer acquisition and retention strategies.
