ABSTRACT:
Soon after installing EVault Software, Womble Carlyle, a top-100 law firm, realized significant reliability improvement both in its nightly backup jobs and its file and folder restores. EVault Software Agents, which are installed on the servers requiring backup, “wake up” at administrator-set times.
Leveraging EVault DeltaPro™ technology, the agents scan for and then back up only new and altered files since the previous backup. As a component of EVault Software, EVault DeltaPro takes those changes, assembles them into an operating system-independent file format, compresses them and then encrypts the data before being sent over the network.
