ABSTRACT:
Crest Animation is a full-service studio specializing in the development and production of digital animated properties for theatrical, television, home entertainment and interactive distribution. In order to take on an increased workload, and handle HD and 2K film animations, the company needed to upgrade its storage infrastructure. The company was looking for a storage solution that was robust and scalable, that would eliminate bottlenecks, and that could grow quickly.
Crest Animation chose a comprehensive HP storage solution consisting of a 12-node HP Enterprise File Services (EFS) Cluster Gateway, three HP StorageWorks Enterprise Virtual Array 8000 (EVA8000) disk arrays, and HP ProCurve 5412 switches.
The HP solution has given Crest Animation a unified, high-performance, highly reliable storage infrastructure free of bottlenecks.
