Dynamic Resource Management with System Center Virtual Machine Manager 2008

System Center Virtual Machine Manager 2008 has a powerful new feature called Performance and Resource Optimization (PRO) that enables administrators to quickly indentify performance issues in their virtualized environment and provides remedial recommendations to rectify them. This session will cover "out of the box" features such as PRO's ability to monitor Hyper-V and VMware host performance as well as its extensibility model allowing partners to build custom solutions for our mutual customers. Dai Vu Director, Virtualization Products/Solutions Marketing, Microsoft Corporation Dai Vu leads a team responsible for defining and marketing the portfolio of the offerings built on Microsoft's virtualization platform. Focus of the team includes: product marketing of System Center Virtual Machine Manager (VMM) and engagement with solution partners (e.g., ISVs, IHVs, OEMs) to define, develop, and market solutions built on Microsoft virtualization products and technologies. Scott Hinckley Senior Systems Engineer, Emulex Scott Hinckley is the primary technical interface between Emulex and Microsoft including the Windows Core OS, SQL Server, Storage Solutions Division, System Center, Microsoft Customer Service and Support, and the Microsoft Technology Centers. Mr. Hinckley is responsible for ensuring compatibility between Emulex's SAN infrastructure products and Microsoft products and technologies with current focus on the integration of Emulex Virtual HBA technology with System Center Virtual Machine Manager. Lorre Bumgardner Senior Product Manager, Hewlett-Packard Lorre Bumgardner began her marketing career at Compaq in the early 1990's, and has since held a number of positions managing both hardware and software products. Since early 2000 she has been involved in driving technology innovation through the company's partnership with Microsoft. Currently, Lorre is responsible for managing HP's ProLiant and BladeSystem integrations with Microsoft System Center products.
