ABSTRACT:
jQuery is increasingly becoming one of the most popular JavaScript libraries to use. jQuery is a concise open source JavaScript Library used for DOM traversal, event handling, Ajax requests, and animations. In this introduction, we look at what makes jQuery unique and why it helps you to write smaller code, faster. We also go hands-on (bring your laptops!) and write an animated Accordion Widget and an Ajax To-Do List from scratch. Attend this webcast to learn the basics of jQuery; how to develop a number of common-case widgets; and how to use jQuery to handle DOM, event, animations and Ajax interactions.
