ABSTRACT:
The need for more compute power and network storage shows no sign of stopping anytime soon, and data centers are already low on power. While energy-efficient technologies exist, they are not a panacea. Technology must be combined with efficiency metrics and proper power management to create a sustainable solution. As long as customer demand for online applications and services exists, data centers will continually need more power.
