ABSTRACT:
In this paper, Enterprise Management Associates (EMA) examines the values of the Quest Software solution set for resolving the paradoxes of privilege management and strong authentication. Quest's SafeKeeping for shared access management, Privilege Manager for Unix for finely-grained control and visibility in Unix and Linux environments, and Quest's Defender family of multi-factor authentication solutions, are examined for the values they offer in closing today's all-too-frequent gaps in high-privilege access control and strong authentication. Businesses will gain a greater appreciation for Quest's strategic differentiators as a vendor that recognizes the realities of today's heterogeneous enterprise, with solutions that deploy readily and reduce a wide range of security, compliance, operational and business risks.
