Brian NeSmith is a 1984 graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. In March 1999, he was appointed President and CEO of then privately-held CacheFlow. NeSmith took the company public in November 1999, and led it on a strategic evolution to Blue Coat Systems, becoming the number one proxy appliance position worldwide. Throughout his career, he has been a prominent figure in the IT industry, regularly speaking at Networld+Interop, InternetWorld and Technologic Partners' Network Outlook.
