ABSTRACT:
With employees spread over 8 to 10 concurrent residential framing jobs, Scharff Construction faced significant challenges in processing handwritten timecards and accurately measuring payroll overhead and expenditures. One of the largest issues faced weekly were employees failure to complete time slips on a timely basis and in addition, the challenge of tracking employee attendance using manual timecards.
After implementing The JobClock System, results were immediate and dramatic. Messy handwritten timecards were replaced by clean, printed timesheets that were dead-on accurate.
By tracking labor as it happens, The JobClock System eliminated the inadvertant "fudging" and "rounding" of hours common with handwritten timecards. Within weeks, Sharff saw a significant decrease in its payroll expenses, a dramatic reduction in payroll processing time, and a fast return on investment.
