ABSTRACT:
Enterprise 2.0 can benefit companies, and software vendors are already creating solutions that can help make Enterprise 2.0 a reality in corporations. The primary challenge now is to apply the technology in business processes to gain the benefits, yet also address compliance, legal and policy issues that are so important in large organizations.
There are ways to bridge this difficult divide. Enterprise content management (ECM) software, the principal software charged with managing large volumes and many versions and variants of documents, emails and other content in large organizations, offers the tools to categorize and manage information according to legal and compliance rules. The key to Enterprise 2.0 is to bring the worlds of ECM and Web 2.0 together, so that companies can gain the best of both. There are some critical best practices companies should follow to be successful:
- Have An ECM Strategy
- Avoid Content Silos
